Other highlights on Rhodes:
Discover Old Town.
Visit the Palace of the Grand Masters. This well-preserved medieval castle was erected as a Byzantine citadel in the late 7th century.
The most beautiful and interesting part of the Old Town is the Street of Knights, the most important street of the medieval town. The street is completely restored or preserved beautifully, and is lined by the medieval buildings.
Visit Lindos.
Lindos is famous for its Acropolis and the ancient monuments at its summit but also for its Byzantine and medieval history.
The Lindos Acropolis rises above the town and sits atop a 116-meter-high hillock overlooking the scenic coastline. On the summit, you’ll find ancient ruins of the Temple of Athena from the 4th century BC.
The distance from Rhodes Old Town to Lindos is 47 km, and the drive is about one (1) hour.
Walking spots - take a break from the beach and discover some great paths.
One of the favorites is Valley of Butterflies. A unique nature reserve.

<Nightlife on Rhodes> The nightlife can offer you a romantic atmosphere or a lively and energetic night out.
Where to stay:
Lindos — without a doubt the best and most delightful place to stay on the island. Here, you will witness whitewashed houses, a hilltop acropolis and some of the best beaches on the island!
Rhodes Old Town — is another favorite place to stay because it is more traditional and affordable, plus it feels more of ancient Greece than the rest of the island. History surrounds you and there is so much to do in the Old Town!
Faliraki — Rhodes’ nightlife HQ, is perfect for anyone who wants to experience a more vibrant side to the island. Although it’s more fun, it comes with a lot less authenticity. If you’re looking for a more traditional side of Greece, then this is NOT your place. There is a great selection of bars, nightlife, great beaches and water sports.
Pefkos is the opposite of Faliraki—perfect for visitors who prefer a more secluded romantic getaway, Pefkos is a much more low-key place to stay. Full of picture-perfect beaches, sun loungers.
